Post-Baccalaureate Certification

Students possessing a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution may be admitted to a special program for initial certification as a teacher.  A post-baccalaureate student seeking initial certification is required to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 plus a minimum 2.5 in courses constituting the teaching field(s) and delivery system(s).  In addition, all requirements for admission to professional education courses apply. Students interested in post-baccalaureate certification should submit copies of all transcripts to the Certification Office for evaluation.

Post-Baccalaureate CERTIFICATE PLANS

  • Submit cover letter requesting plans
    include address and phone number

  • Attach copies of all transcripts

    •  A copy of transcripts from every  university attended is required in order to develop an accurate plan, and to determine GPA requirements as per State guidelines Mail or fax to Certification Office
