Once all program requirements, along with required ExCET/TExES testing, have been completed; applying for the certificates must be done directly with the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) at the following website: http://www.sbec.state.tx.us
SBEC will route the application to the university for verification and recommendation
Once the recommendation is completed; SBEC will perform the certification and notify the applicant.
